School Counselors support the development and academic needs of students. Counselors collaborate with school staff, administration and the parent community to ensure the integration and alignment of the school counseling program duties with the mission of the school. School counselors deliver services that support the academic, career, personal, interpersonal, and healthy development of all students. Services include academic advocacy, classroom and group guidance lessons, individual student planning, staff and parent consultation, and school program supports.
